This vintage cookie jar was made by the American Bisque company in the 1950's. As with most American Bisque cookie jars this one is colorful and very cute. The elephant has its eyes closed with big painted lashes. Its trunk is turned up which acts as a handle for removing the lid. It's wearing a decorative blue bib with a large pink bow and a blue "knit" bonnet trimmed on the front with yellow flowers.
It measures about 12" tall and is in very good condition with no damage and minimal wear.
