This old bonnet appears to be hand made using an off white yarn that might be wool. The crown has a close pattern and the edge has a decorative, knobby pattern. The top of the crown has an attached pom-pom. The earflaps are finished off with ties that have small pom-pom tassels. There are no labels of manufacture or size and as previously mentioned, I think this is a hand crocheted hat. This sweet piece would fit some large baby dolls as the one shown modeling the cap.
The bonnet is difficult to measure but it measures about 9” across at the center of the earflaps and when folded in half it measures about 5 ½” from crown to front bottom edge. The doll it is shown on has about an 18” circumference head. It is in good used condition. There are no holes in the hat but ties show some wear and will probably not hold up to a lot of tugging or pulling without being reinforced.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
