This vintage, plastic doll was a souvenir from Greece. The male doll is apparently wearing the traditional, dress uniform of the Evones. The dolls body is made of a plastic material and basically everything is stationary and not jointed. The face appears to be a molded fabric with painted details. On his head is a beret with a tassel and an emblem on the front. The vest and decorative arm coverings are made of reddish maroon felt embellished with beads and sequins. This was a souvenir from Greece in the 1960’s.
It measures about 6 ½” tall and is in fair to nice condition. The main problem is that it appears that something and bled on the foustanella. The pleated skirt should be all white not blue and white. There is some general soiling and some stains on the leg stockings. The doll leans forward but manages to stand on its own.
