This fun old postcard is a Valentine of sorts being decorated with hearts and a poem. The young girl pictured is wearing dark attire with a mysterious flare. In one hand she is carrying pistol and in the other is a canister flashlight. The caption reads; My girlie’s eyes are bright and blue Like summer’s skies above – She’s stole my heart what can I do, But trust her with my love. It is from the Life Comic Series No2 with a copyright by the Williamson-Haffner Co. of Denver. It has no postmark, stamp or correspondence on the back. I believe it is from the early 1900’s.
It measures 3 ½” by 5 ½” and is in fairly good condition with some edge and corner wear and minor soiling.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
