These little paper items are old trade cards from businesses in St. Louis.
The first was advertising Mrs. M. Mueller, Fashionable Millinery on South Broadway. It has a simple floral design with nothing on the back. It measures about 1 15/16” by 3 5/8” and is in fair condition with minor edge and crease wear and faint soiling.
The second card is colorful with a basket of pansies over the wrist of a young woman arm which has a sheer sleeve. This card is advertising the Blanke & Bro. Candy Co. that was located on Market St. Apparently this candy company manufactured and imported fine French candies in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. The back of the card has additional advertising. It measures about 1 7/8” by 3 ¼” and it is in fair condition with nice colors, light edge and crease wear and one torn corner.
They are both printed on card stock and are being sold as the pair.
