This vibrant double strand necklace is made of old glass beads and fun shaped discs. The faceted glass beads vary in shapes, sizes and colors. There are some that are a very pale smoke color, some that are pale yellow, others are bright orange, a few almost clear and some that have the aurora borealis multi-colored highlights. The smallest beads are about 3/16” in length and width ant the largest ones are about ½” in diameter. Besides the glass beads there are clusters of yellow and orange disks. These appear to be a hard plastic like lucite. They are faceted and their hole is drilled on the outer edge so they fan out. They are in either groups of two or three and they create a great deal of interest. Between the iridescence of the aurora borealis, the light catching facets and the varying shapes, this necklace is quite flashy. The strands attach at either end to a metallic plastic bar. One end has a small bead and a metal hook and the other end has a series of beads connected by eyelets allowing for an adjustable size choker. I find no maker on the necklace.
It measures about 15 ¾” in overall length. I have about a 13” neck and the photo shows how it lays. It is in very nice condition with minimal wear. Under 10x magnification there are a few tiny chips an some of the glass beads.
The necklace comes with a pair of matching clip-on style earrings. They have three orange, glass beads surrounded by six of the yellow plastic disks. The pieces are wired to a disk which is attached to a metal back with a ear clip which is only marked; Pat.Pend.. The earrings measure about 1” by 1 ½” and they are in very good condition with minimal wear.
Priced and sold as the set.
