This is an old dresser box made of celluloid with a slightly iridescent, pearlized finish. This was probably used as a powder box since it has an inner liner and a mirror in the lid. The lid has a celluloid know and a decorative, hand painted floral design. The inside of the bowl and the liner are not pearlized and the liner is a darker color. I find no maker on the bottom. I believe this is probably from the 1930’s - 1940’s.
The base measures about 3 ¾” in diameter and the bowl liner is slightly wider measuring about 4 1/8” in diameter. It measures about by 2 1/8” high without the lid on and about 3 ¾” high to the top of the knob. It is in nice condition with no chips or cracks and light wear to the paint. The inner liner is stained and it shows on one place on the outside edge.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
