These old earrings are made of irregular pieces of shell with tiny bead accents. The shell pieces are a pearlized pink and creamy white with the iridescence often referred to as mother of pearl. The beads appear to be metallic coated and all of the pieces are threaded together with a clear filament. The backs are decorative and appear to be brass. The clips are marked Japan. I believe these are from the 1950’s.
The earrings measure about 1 1/8” in diameter and they are in nice condition with minor wear and clips that work well. Some of the metallic coating is worn off of the small beads which are clear underneath.
