This ceramic angel is for those born in September. The sweet little girl is dressed in a white dress trimmed with porcelain spaghetti “fur” and decorated with gold accents and a large yellow bow. Her head is slightly bowed and her cute face is nicely detailed. Her math book is open and she’s ready to learn her arithmetic with an apple for the teacher is at her side. Her halo is shiny gold with gold accents on the front of her wings. Across the front of the base it reads; September Angel. On the bottom it is stamped A1369 and there is a foiled paper label that reads; A Napco Ceramic Japan. I would assume she is from the 1950’s.
She measures about 4 ¼” tall and is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage. On the lower back edge it looks like a chip but it was apparently a manufacturing flaw as it is glazed over like the rest of the piece. I have shown a close-up of the area in the photos but it doesn’t show the gloss of the glaze very well.
