This is a very fine old ring made of 10K yellow gold set with a pretty, round opal in a bezel mounting. It is a harlequin opal with flashes of green, orange and purple. It has a flowing design of applied gold work enhancing the stone. It has apparently been resized at some point as there is an irregularity at the bottom portion of the shank. It has no karat mark inside the band, however this was appraised in 1982 and it was determined to be 10k gold.
It is in very nice condition aside from the band resizing. There is no damage to the stone which measures about 5/16" in diameter or 8.5 mm. The ring measures about 7 on my ring mandrel.
