This old book is titled; Machine Shop Practice - A Study of Conditions for Use in Trade, Industrial & Technical Schools and Modern Machine Shops and Manufacturing Plants. It has 227 pages including the index and contains a wealth of information in 20 diverse chapters. Some of the chapters include Vise Work, Filing, Scraping, Hand Tools, Drill Presses, Planers & Shapers, Measuring Instruments and Tool Making. There are numerous line drawings and graphs included with the text. It was written by William J. Kaup, Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Co.. It is from the second thousand of the First Edition, John Wiley & Sons.
It measures about 5 5/8” by 8 ¼” by 1” and is in good condition with light wear. The inside pages are generally clean and in good with minimal wear. There are a couple of folded corners as shown in one of the photos. The spine is generally tight with only a few pages starting to pull away near the spine. The hardbound cover has light edge and corner wear.
