This old Garland ball point pen has a writing tip on both ends. There is a blue band near one end and a red band near the other end and the bands indicate the color of the ink for each end. The center section is engraved with advertising; Kischell Corp and a phone number. On the pocket clip is a button that has “K & K”, The pen was made by the Garland company of the U.S.A., which is also on the center section.
It measures about 5 ¾” in length and is in very good condition except that the ink is apparently dried up. The retracting mechanism works well for for ends but it doesn’t write and I have not been able to figure out how to remove and replace the cartridges. It is being sold as-is.
It comes with its original presentation box with a formed insert that the pen lies in. The lid of the box has a metal, gold colored edge and the top is embossed in ogold with the name Garland. The box measures about 6 1/8” by 2 3/8” and is in very nice condition with minimal wear except for the red and blue scribbles on the inside of the lid.
