This old figure is a beautifully designed wedding couple made by the Lladro porcelain company. The quaint bride and groom have the high gloss glaze in the soft blues, gray, pink and creamy white colors that Lladro is so well known for. He is dressed in fine formal attire with a tiny, petaled flower in his lapel and his top hat in one hand. Her long, Puritan styled dress has faintly tinted, pink bows down the skirt and the bottom of the dress is nicely detailed a in the matching pink. She’s wearing a short veil that is adorned with small porcelain droplets. She’s carrying a bouquet with delicate flowers that match his boutonniere. On the bottom is the blue, Lladro - Hand Made in Spain mark. I believe this is considered a 5th generation mark which would date this between 1977 and 1984. It is also impressed with the number 4808 and several other marks. This retired design has always been a favorite among collectors of Lladro’s fine porcelains.
It measures about 7 5/8” tall and is in very good condition with minimal wear and no noted damage.
