This old cobalt blue bottle was intended for inverted use on a Bromo Seltzer dispenser. The Bromo-Seltzer dispensers were a common sight in old drug stores and soda fountains. The cap was discarded from the bottle and then the bottle would have been turned upside down onto the dispenser. It would have had a paper label but it is embossed with Bromo-Seltzer - Emerson Drug Co. around the edge that would be at the top when inverted. I believe this is from the 1930’s or 1940’s.
It measures about 7 5/8” tall and 3 ¼” in diameter and the opening measures about 1 3/8” in side diameter. The glass has foxing and hazing. There is a “bruise” where it has been bumped which I have shown in the photos. Otherwise there are noe chips or cracks.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
