This old leather wallet was a souvenir of the 1940 San Francisco Bay Golden Gate International Exposition. The cover of the brown leather wallet embossed in gold with the Expo name and date and the iconic scene of the bridge. The folding wallet has a large compartment for paper bills, a flapped smaller compartment on the left, a small slip in compartment on the right with a snapped pouch in front for coins. It is embossed in gold with “Genuine Leather” and “Vogue”.
It measures about 3” by 4” in its closed state or about 3” by 7 ¾” when fully opened. It is in nice but used condition with nicely darkened leather. The gold is worn from the front and under the flap on the inside. The snap works properly.
