This old hand painted porcelain half doll has delicate features and appears to be primping her locks or adjusting her pompadour wig. Her alabaster skin has only the slightest pink cast to it. Her face is simply detailed and her brown curls are nicely defined. She has wisps of hair falling across her bare shoulders and wavy locks lie down her back. Her arms are raised with her hands to her head and her elbows away from her body. On the flared base that would be sewn to a pincushion it is incised Germany with a number that appears to be 6785.
It measures almost 4” tall and about 3 1/8” wide across at her elbows and the base measures about 1 3/8” by 1 ¼”. She is very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
