This old figurine was made by Dadson Art Ware company of California. This is a little blonde child wearing a diaper and in the process of putting on his own shoes. The face is simple and sweet with a pouty sweetheart mouth. This, to me, is a beautiful depiction of baby’s first sign of independence. The color is all under glaze. On the bottom it appears to reads; Dadson Ware Calif. #54. I believe this California pottery was in business during the 1940’s.
It measures about 5 3/8” high and the base measures about 3 ¼” by 3 ¾”. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
