This old socket is made by Pass & Seymour, Inc., of Syracuse N.Y.. It has a brown Bakelite sleeve over the porcelain and copper socket. The metal keeper ring at the top it threaded. It is gray in color with oxidation. The bottom edge of the socket is threaded so it could take a shade holder. The brown Bakelite turnkey switch has the P & S logo on both sides. This takes a standard light bulb base. It is new old stock, probably from the 1930’s. The original box that this came in shows it as a model HCs-19.
It measures about 2 1/8” high and the key extends almost 1” from the body. It is in very good condition and as previously stated it is now old stock.
