This is a nicely detailed old watch chain. This style was sometimes clipped to a vest pocket with the large linked fob portion hanging on the outside. The large links are flat loops and are detailed on one side only. At the bottom is a bauble that resembles a seal which could have been monogrammed. On the end of the small linked chain is a swivel with a spring clip to snap onto a watch. The spring clip is marked only Finberg Mfg. Co.. The color varies from a soft yellow gold to a few accents that look a appear to be a subdued rose gold. This is a gold filled or rolled gold piece and is unmarked.
It measures about 3 3/8” long from the top of the pocket clip to the bottom of the seal. The smaller, short chain measures about 4 ½” from the top clip to the swivel clip. The width across the 4 links is about½”. Overall it is in very nice condition with minimal wear. There appears to be very little base metal showing or discoloration. The spring end for the watch and the secure clip on the top piece both seem to work well.
