This little silver charm is a nicely detailed football. One side has the “laces”. Below the laces it appears to have a tiny circle with PAT inside which I would assume is for Patented. Above the laces it is engraved C.C.H.S. ’53. It would appear this was from a high school and here are a few of the towns it could be from; Corpus Christi, TX - Cathedral City, CA - Carson City, NV - Creve Coeur, MO - Culver City, CA - Cedar City, ID - Calumet City, IL. Near the bottom seam on the back side it is stamped; Sterling. It is hollow with a stationary ring soldered to the top and a loose jump ring through it.
It measures 1” long by 5/8” in diameter excluding the jump ring. It weighs about 3.75 grams or 2.4dwt (pennyweight). It is in very good condition with minimal wear and it would make a nice addition to a charm bracelet of sports memorabilia or worn on a neck chain as a pendant.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
