This old pressed steel trailer is pretty lonely without a tractor to pull it. There is no maker on either the box or the hard rubber tires. There is a ghost of a decal on either side that said, Hi-Way Transport. The original paint scheme is similar in design and color to one of the trucks that Buddy L did in the late 1930's which is when I believe this was probably made. The tailgate is hinged at the bottom to open and close. There are holes at the top of the tail gate and on the top edge of the box which may have had chains at one time.
The top of the trailer is slightly dented with it being domed at the front but flatter at the rear. The paint is fair with some chipping along the edges, some scratches and rust. The black tires are a very hard rubber and are in good condition not being split, cracked or flat. Both have their original albeit rusty metal hubcaps. The post that would slip into the truck tractor is missing. It measures about 11 3/8" long, 5 1/8" wide and 8 1/2" high from the ground to the top at the rear.
