This lovely old doll is made by the Duchess Doll Corporation and she is representing a nun. She’s made of hard plastic and is dressed in her original costume. She is wearing a long black habit which is gathered at the waist, a white bandeau, wimple and bib collar and a black cloth veil that hangs down the back. She also has a small plastic crucifix hanging from a thin cord at her waist. She has her original panties and “crinoline” like half slip which are both stapled on. She has blue sleep eyes with large painted lashes and a stately mouth that is painted deep red. She is stiff legged with painted shoes but her head and arms are jointed. She comes in an original Doll of All Nations cardboard box. There is no number or identifying name on the end of the box. The box has its inner liner and cellophane window. I believe she is from the mid 1950’s or 1960’s.
She measures about 7 ½” tall and is in very good condition with minimal wear and crisp clothes. The clothes are basically clean with a little dust.
The box measures about 10 7/8” by 11 7/8” by 2 1/8” and is in good condition with minimal edge and corner wear. The cellophane is intact but slightly wrinkled and scuffed.
