This old necklace is made of a variety of beads in colors and shapes. There are irregular shapes, oblong, petal cups, round and faceted beads. Some are smooth and some have a textured finish. The faceted ones are an amber aurora borealis and the other colors are the warm colors of fall. Some of the beads feel like glass but I tend to think most of them are made of a plastic. The beads vary in size and there are three graduated length strands so they lie nicely. The three strands are attached to a decorative gold colored bar. One end has a simple brass hook and the other end has series of chained beads culminating with a larger bead. The necklace comes with matching earrings. The earrings share some of the same beads but doesn’t have some of the beads that the necklace has. The clip style earrings are marked W.Germany. I believe this suite is probably from the 1950’s - 1960’s.
The necklace measures roughly 16” in overall length and the earrings measure about 1” in diameter. All of the pieces are in very nice condition with minimal wear and no noted damage.
Priced and sold as the set.
