Old metal molds like this were used for a variety of things in the early 1900’s like ice cream, bread and steamed pudding. The top half of the vintage mold is ribbed to emulate a melon. The bottom half is marked; Liquid - 2 Qts. - N.Y.C. Apprd. D2. Both halves have applied bail handles.
It measures about 8” by 6” by about 4 1/2” high and is in fairly condition with tight seams and a few rust spots inside.
