This old thimble is made of sterling silver and it has 10 panels below the stippled edge. The panels are slightly concave rather than being flat. Eight of the panels have a geometric design that reminds me of an American Indian motif. Two of the panels, opposing one another, are plain and could have been intended for a monogram. There is no indication of size or maker on the outside. Inside it is marked Sterling over a plain, five point star hallmark. This could be the hallmark of Thomas Brogan of New York circa 1896-1930. There is also the number 11 which I would assume to be the size.
It measures about 7/8” high and about 5/8” in diameter and is in very good condition with minimal wear and no holes in the stippled area. There is minimal scratch wear from sewing needle work.
