This is a very pretty old Holophane light shade made by the Heisey company. The glass is heavily ribbed horizontally on the outside and vertically on the inside giving it a sparkling appearance. The bottom edge is softly fluted with distinctive little “beads” along the bottom edge. It is marked on the neck; Holophane - No 443 - Lindsay. It may have been made for a 2 ½” shade holder which is larger than “standard” shade holders which are generally 2 ¼”. The lip on the neck is very slight so it would probably work best in an upright position rather than hanging downward. It might be nice on a single wall sconce.
The outside diameter of the neck measures about 2 3/8” and the inside diameter is about 2 1/16”. It measures about 6” in diameter at the bottom and approximately 4 ½” high. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
