This old hammer was probably used for small jobs but could have been from a young boy’s tool chest. The small cast steel head is a curved claw with a straight poll and flat face and appears to retain its original finish. The head is attached to an oak or ash handle which has no wedge in the end. The wood handle has nice form and is probably original.
It weighs just over 2 ounces and measures about 7 7/8” long. The head measures about 2 1/8” from the hammer face to the back of the claw and about 5/8” thick across the top. It is in very nice condition but there is very little finish of any sort on the handle.
