This colorful game board is not only an old, unused punch board but it has fun turkey graphics and advertising for four popular cigarette brands. The top banner shows that each punch was 5c and you could win a ten pound holiday feast. This type of trade stimulator was often found at a bar or restaurant counter. Your five cents allowed you to push a rolled up piece of paper through the hole on the board. On the paper there would be a number and specific numbers won prize, in this case one, two or three packs of cigarettes or a Thanksgiving turkey. The packs of cigarettes shown are Lucky Strike, Chesterfield, Camel and Old Gold. On the back of the board is a metal easel stand, the sealed, Protected Numbers envelope and the punch still sealed in the board. I have not been able to date it specifically but I would assume this is from the 1940’s or 1950’s.
The board measures about 9 ¾” by 11 7/8” by ¾” thick and is in very nice condition with good color and light wear, mostly to the edges. As previously mentioned this is unused with all of the punches in tact. A piece of string is tied to the easel so this could display on a wall.
