This vintage serving piece is typically considered a berry spoon. This is in a beautiful pattern plus it has the addition of a chased floral design in the bowl. The large serving spoon has a scalloped edge and a lovely pattern detail. The center of the bowl has been detailed with a few flowers and sprigs of fern tied with a bow. The spoon has substantial weight and would do nicely for serving many dishes. I believe the pattern is called York. On the back of the handle it is marked Pat. 1900 and it has the eagle and star, Wm. Rogers name and trademark.
It measures about 9” long and the bowl measures about 3” across. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no evidence of base metal showing through.
