This old rouge or powder compact is very simple with a chased design in the metal on the lid. There is a small depressed oval that has either a painted or paper label with the Jonteel Bird of Paradise logo. The metal seems to have a dark finish rather than being tarnished. On the bottom is a paper label on the bottom that reads; Medium. Inside the hinged lid is a mirror and the compartment is empty. I believe that it is from the late 1920’s - 1930’s.
It measures about 1 ½” in diameter by just over ½” thick. It is in nice condition with minor wear but there are a few scratches on the picture the largest ones being under the watering can and above the watering can. The mirror is intact and not broken or cracked.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
