This hard to find tin once held a vintage, Yankee safety razor. The front is decorative with a smiling man, face covered with lather, and razor in hand. He is flanked by two bold eagles and it reads; Yankee - Safety Razors. Yankee Razors were made by Reichard & Scheuber Mfg. Co. of New York. There is text on the sides of the tin with gold decorative corners. These razors were patented in the United States, England, Germany and France. The lid is hinged at the back.
It measures about 2 7/16" by 1 3/4" by 1 3/8" high and is in fairly nice condition with some wear. It has some scratches and pitting and most of the gold is worn from the edges of the lid and the raised edges of the tin.
