These old screw back earrings and matching pin are fun pieces that resemble origami. Origami is typically fashioned by folding paper into shapes. These pieces are made using a thin piece of acetate like plastic which has been folded and cut. All three pieces appear to be birds of some fashion. The plastic is a coppery lavender color which appears to be flashed onto clear plastic. The earrings have silver colored screw backs and the pin has a simple, silver colored pin that is shaped somewhat like a paperclip. None of the pieces have any markings. I believe these were made in the 1970’s.
The earrings measure roughly 1 5/8” from beak to tail tip and about a 1” wingspan. The pin measure roughly 4” from beak to tail tip and about a 1 3/8” wingspan. All of the pieces are in nice condition with minor wear and no noted damage.
Priced and sold as he set.
