This is an old garden tool used for cultivating the soil. It has three prongs made of steel wire that has been flattened on the ends of the tines. The two outer tines loop near the handle and then the three wires intertwine before going into the wood handle. The handle is made of a nondescript wood which is turned and detailed with two thin groves. It has no maker that I can see.
It measures about 10 ½” to the longest tine with the tines tapering slightly in length. It measures about 1 7/8” across the tines. It is in good but well used condition with a blotchy patina to the handle as well as some dark staining that might be charred. There are also some cracks in the wood from age. The metal has some rust and discoloration but this is great tool for either use or shabby chic decorating.
