This old book, Motorcycle Chums in the Land of the Sky was written by Andrew Carey Lincoln also goes by the name Thrilling Adventures on the Carolina Border. I believe this was the second of a six volumes series about the Motorcycle Chums, some adolescent boys and their motor bike adventures. This hardbound edition has 230 story pages plus a portion of Poe’s The Domain of Arnheim and several pages listing other boys’ books. It has a 1914 copyright by the publishers M.A.Donohue & Co. of Chicago. I does have its dust jacket.
It measures about 5” by 7 7/16” by 7/8” and is in fair condition for being more than 100 years old. The inside pages appear to be unmarked and generally clean but quite yellowed and darkened from age. The spine is mostly tight but quite brittle and I fear that opening the book much will cause the spine to split and loosen the pages. The spice is weak on the front cover which can be seen in the photos. The cover has some edge and corner wear but the color of it is good. The dust jacket is weak with lots of edge wear and small tears. The flaps of the jacket that fold into the book are almost torn through.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
