This little porcelain figurine appears to be a naked baby on a pair of snow skis. The curly haired figure has a toddler’s body with outstretched arms. Wearing nothing more than an orange and blue scarf and blue and white shoes or boots the little baby looks all but frozen in his action but it appears that the artist has made an attempt to make the baby look like he’s on a fast downhill run with the hair and scarf flowing back and the body leaning slightly forward. The top of the skis have a gold line down the center of each. All of the color detail appears to be hand painted. The bottom is not marked Germany but there is a four digit number which appears to be 6663. I think this is probably from the earlier half of the 1900’s.
It measures about 2 5/8” high and about 3 1/8” long and is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
