This older book, titled The Kate Greenaway Treasury, is a compilation of illustrations and works by Kate Greenaway. The wonderful collection of stories, poems and songs are beautifully illustrated and will bring a smile to the faces of young and old alike. It includes her beautiful Alphabets and A Apple Pie among so many other childhood delights. It also includes a biography of the talent woman from England. The hardbound book has 319 pages including the bibliography. It was published by William Collins - World Publishing Co. of New York & Cleveland. This “impression” or printing is from 1978. This is a former library edition which has the library stamp in several places as well as the library card holder and date due slip attached to the inside page. It comes with its original paper dust jacket which has a protective plastic cover over it.
It measures about 8 ¼” by 10 ½” by 1 ¼” and is in fairly good condition. The inside pages are generally clean with a tight spine. Most of the cover is in good condition having been protected by the dust cover but the dust cover was taped directly to the covers surface, permanently marring it. Also the bottom edge of the cover is worn through to the cardboard from its years of shelf life. The dust jacket is in fair condition with some edge wear and a cut corner. The damage has been considered in the price.
