This thick glass was used in old soda fountains to hold an ice cream cone. This is a heavy duty style that would have held up well and might have been used at a lunch counter in a department store. Some say the soda jerk filled a number of cones with ice cream and placed them in the glasses to serve all at once. Others remember that these glasses kept the drips of the ice cream from ruining their clothes. It takes a standard waffle cone, not the large ones.

It stands about 5 1/8” high, about 2 3/16” in diameter across the top and 2 ½” in diameter across the bottom. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no chips, cracks or other damage.
