This is a nice old set of red plastic dominos. The dominoes are a rich red with white painted, recessed spots. The plastic looks like a dense red Bakelite and is not marbled like some Catalin. This is a complete double six set consisting of 28 dominoes. It comes with an eleven page pamphlet with instructions for general play as well as instruction for the play of specific games including Texas 42. The pamphlet shows these were made by Crisloid Plastics, Inc. of Providence Rhode Island and I believe they are from the early 1960’s.
The set comes in a wooden box with a hinged lid and the top of the lid is a cribbage board. There are plastic pegs in the six holes along the side rails of the box under the lid. The box is not original to the dominoes since it was made by the Skor-Mor Corp. but I believe it is also from the 1960’s and the dominoes and box work well together so that is the way they are being sold.
Each Domino measures about 2” by 1” by 3/8” and they are in very good condition with minimal wear. The box measures about 2 7/8” by 8” by 2 3/8” high and is in good condition with minor wear. The pamphlet is creased and has edge wear.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
