This old, vertical pocket tin once held Sir Walter Raleigh Smoking Tobacco for Pipe & Cigarettes. The colorful orange and black tin has a picture of Sir Raleigh smoking a pipe on the front. The back tells of the quality of the tobacco and the B&W leaf logo. This was from the Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. of Louisville, Kentucky. Along one side is the factory information including the factory number 21 - District of Kentucky. It has most of the paper tax label on the hinged lid and down both sides. The bottom of the tin is ribbed to be used as a match strike.
It measures about 4 3/8” by 3” by 7/8” and it is in nice condition with good gloss and minimal wear. There is some spider webbing under the paint on the lid.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
