This set of miniature pots and pans is from the Grey Iron Casting Co. of Mt. Joy, Pa. and the five pieces come in their original box. As shown on the lid of the box these would be a nice addition to a child’s old cast iron stove. The set includes a frying pan, a sauce pot, a handled cauldron, a handled coal bucket and the hod shovel. The pieces seem to be made of cast iron and painted black. The pieces fit neatly into the liner of the box and two of the pieces are stapled down. The box identifies the set as No.U-120. The end of the box has an original price tag of $1.50 from Bullock’s. These would also be cute props for dolls and teddy bears.
The set is in very good original condition and appears to have never been played with. The largest piece, the cauldron, measures about 1 7/8” in diameter by 1 ¼” high, excluding the handle. The box measures about 5 ¾” square and is in good condition with minor edge & corner wear, some discoloration and one torn corner on the inner box.
