This is a fun pair of old bookends with young kids playing the game of tug of war. Although tug-o-war is typically played with a rope straddling a mud hole, these kids, three on each side are fashioned to hold up your books. The two pieces are alike with what appear to be three boys and if you look closely it looks like there might be a dog caught between the legs of the middle child. They are cast of a non magnet metal, probably brass, with a gold-tone or brass finish. They both have their original protective bottoms and one has the original paper label that reads; PM Craftsman - Lakeland, Florida with the PM logo.
They measure about 5” high and the base measures about 4 1/8” by 3 3/8”. They are in very good condition with minimal wear. There is a small scuff on the top of one as shown in the photo.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
