This old Frankoma set consists of the Guernsey Juice Pitcher with a lid and 6 small cups. These items were made by the Frankoma Potteries of Oklahoma and they were marketed separately or sold as a set as shown here. An old Frankoma catalog states the jug as being 28oz and the little glasses as 3oz. I believe this is their Desert Gold glaze, a creamy golden yellow over the light Ada clay. These have the small, hand incised mark which would date the set from the 1940’s to the early part of the 1950’s. The pitcher has the bonus of an original paper label on the front that reads; Original Creation by Frankoma. On the bottom of the jug is the design number 93 and the juice cups have the 90c design number.
The pitcher measures about 6 ¾” to the top of the lid or about 5 1/8” high without the lid. It probably measures about 4 ½” in diameter at the center. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
The cups measure about 2 7/8” high by 2 ¼” in diameter at the top tapering to 1 5/8” in diameter at the bottom. All six are in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
Priced and sold as the set, pitcher with lid and six (6) cups.
