This small tin once held two single edge wedge blades for an old Star Safety Razor. The front of the tin has Star Safety Razor across the middle with the Kampfe Bros trademarks in the top corners. Along the bottom it explains how to identify all true Kampfe Bros. blades while all others are spurious. The back of the tin is a sales pitch for the Star No.25 Stropper. The inside has an embossed paper, faux leather insert both top and bottom. It also has the metal blade holder with the three stars and a patent date of June 1895.
This hinged tin measures about 1 7/8” by 1 ¼” and is in mixed condition. The lid is fairly good with light scratches and minor wear. Unfortunately there was probably a price tag put on the back by someone and when someone removed it they took the litho also so there is a shiny metal spot about the size of a dime. The inside is in nice condition but there is no blade in the blade holder.
