This colorful tin was made to hold two, single edge wedge blades for an old Kampfe Bros. Star Safety Razor. The front of the tin has a background of a star with rays on a green background. Star Safety Razor is across the middle in gold with a silver star in each corner. Across the top it reads; Blade Case. It was patented and manufactured by Kampfe Bro’s of New York City. The back of the tin has a nice image of the Kampfe’s Star Safety Razor Stropping Machine. The inside has an embossed paper, faux leather insert both top and bottom. It also has the metal blade holder with the patent date of June 1895. It alos comes with one old Kampfe Bros wedge blade.
The hinged tin measures about 2 3/16” by 1 ¼” and is in very nice condition with good color and gloss and minimal wear. The inside is in also in nice condition with minor wear. The blade is used and sharpened.
