This old box features Polly and Peter, the pair of paper dolls called The Polka Dot Tots. Inside are the heavy board dolls and an assortment of fashions for each. The clothes include summer wear, playwear and winter wear. A tab on each outfit has the name of the child for which it is intended. The clothes have been cut and are ready for play. These dolls were made by the Whitman Publishing Co. and the box has the number; 4125:19. I believe these are from the 1940’s - 1950’s. These are vintage and not reproductions. One stand is included but unfortunately the other stand apparently got lost through the years.
The dolls are about 7 1/8” and are in nice condition with minor wear and minimal soiling. Peter has a few wrinkles on his face but it is on the paper surface and does not go through to the back side of the cardboard. The clothes is in basically nice but cut condition. Most of the tabs have not been folded.
The box measures about 6 ¾” by 8 1/8” and is in nice condition with light edge and corner wear and light soiling.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
