This is a precious print by Anne Allaben titled Lazybones which was probably done in the 1940's when she worked for the Edward Gross company. The adorable little boy appears to be all tuckered out, napping in the pumpkin patch, the strap of his overalls slipped off his shoulder. The print has the following information on it; Published by Edward Gross Co., Inc. New York, N.Y. A-32 - Painted by Anne E. Allaben - Printed in U.S.A. and the copyright by E.G. Co., Inc.. It is ink lined to look as though it is matted although it is not. It is framed in a painted wood frame with a red accent and it is protected by glass. It appears to have the original paper on the back on the back and is fitted with eyelets and a wire, probably not original, but ready for hanging.
The total size is 13 3/4” by 15 3/4” and it is in very good condition with light wear to the frame, the glass is in tact. The paper back is torn in several places and the wire is crimped.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
