This is an old, gold colored medal from the 1920 Imperial Valley Interscholastic Meet. On the front is a beautifully detailed picture of a man preparing to throw the discus. A sprig of laurel also enhances the design. The outer edge with the information looks like a flowing ribbon. On the back it is only engraved; Javelin Throw. The top is made like an old watch fob so a leather strap might go through the loop.
The medal measures about 1 3/8” wide by 1 5/8” high and is in nice condition with some light wear to the gold finish, especially on the high spots like the thigh and also on the loop and the bottom back edge.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
