This old, vertical pocket tin was for Fresh Tuxedo Tobacco - Specially Prepared for Pipe or Cigarette. The front and back have the same image of a dapper gentleman, dressed in a tux, with his coat over his arm. One side panel has a Guarantee by The American Tobacco Co. and the other panel has the District of Virginia factory information. Most of the tax stamp remains on the top of the hinged lid and down the sides of the tin. It appears the tax stamp has a 1926 date.
It measures about 4 7/16” high by 3” wide and 15/16” thick. It is in good condition with nice color and gloss and minimal dent and scratch wear. Most of the scratch wear and paint loss is on the lid and below the edge of the lid.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
