This colorful set of five old tiles tells the story of a bull fight. First is the entrance of the matadors as they parade into the arena. Next is the picador, astride his horse, lancing el toro. The banderillero is next with the colorful harpoons in the neck of the bull. Next is the matador with his red cape and the bold image of the majestic bull. Lastly is the fallen bull being removed by a team of three horses. The scenes are simplistic but to the point and the colors are vivid. At the bottom of each tile it appears to read; FLA PERU. The backs are slightly different but the tiles are identified as Richards - Made In England. These would be nice set in grout as an architectural element or hung on the wall in some fashion.
Each tile measures about 6” square by 1/8” thick and all are in very good condition with minimal wear. There are tiny nicks along the back edge of a few.
Priced and sold as the set of five (5).
