This is an old shoe polish bottle and box with fun graphics. The box for Esquire Scuff Kote is very colorful. The front has the name the bold name with a drum majorette at the bottom. One side has a young boy with his polished shoes and a happy circus clown while the opposing side has a circus elephant and perhaps a strong man with a cartoon balloon “talking” to mom. The directions for use are on the back side with the Good Housekeeping seal at the bottom. The original price of 25c in on the top flap. Inside is the glass bottle with its original metal lid and attached dauber. This was a product of the Knomark Mfg. Co., Inc. of Brooklyn.
The box measures about 5” high by 2 ¼” square and is in relatively good condition with good colors and light edge and crease wear. The top flap is torn at the hinge about half way across and there is a brown polish stain on the back panel. The bottle is in nice undamaged condition but there is dried product inside which I have not tried to clean.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
